MENGATASI DAMPAK EKONOMI PANDEMI COVID-19 BAGI MASYARAKAT KAMPUNG KB GANDUL CINERE MELALUI PENGOLAHAN JAMU HERBAL
OVERCOMING THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC FOR THE COMMUNITY OF KAMPUNG KB GANDUL CINERE BY UTILIZING THE PROCESSING OF HERBAL JAMU
Abstract
Kondisi masyarakat mengalami risiko kesehatan serius akibat pandemi Covid-19. Ditambah pelaksanaan PSBB yang juga berdampak bagi kondisi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat. Meskipun demikian, keadaan ini mendorong maraknya aktivitas bercocok tanam di pekarangan rumah, termasuk aneka tanaman obat. Kebutuhan tanaman ini memang mengalami peningkatan signifikan sebagai asupan untuk meningkatkan imunitas sehingga menjadi peluang ekonomi masyarakat. Pengolahan jamu herbal dapat memberikan nilai tambah tanaman obat tersebut. Akan tetapi, masyarakat di lokasi sasaran banyak yang belum memiliki kemampuan pengolahan produk berdaya simpan lama seperti jamu herbal. Oleh karena itu, solusinya berupa pelatihan dan penyuluhan kesehatan pembuatan jamu herbal. Produk olahan yang diperkenalkan adalah jahe instan dan wedang uwuh. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring disebabkan berlangsungnya PSBB. Kegiatan ini diharapkan berdampak positif bagi masyarakat sasaran yaitu peningkatan keterampilan masyarakat tentang pengolahan secara sederhana jamu herbal yang memberi nilai tambah pangan lokal dan pengetahuan tentang Covid-19 dan pencegahannya. Setelah aktivitas pengabdian masyarakat diberikan, kesimpulan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam pengolahan produk jamu herbal.

ABSTRACT
People are seriously affected by risk health during Covid-19 pandemic. The condition of the community is experiencing severe health risks due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, lockdown or large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) implementation also has an impact on people's social and economic. Even though, this situation encourages yard farming activities, including various medicinal plants. The demand of this medicinal plant increased significantly during the pandemic, so that it is an opportunity for people raising economic income. Processing of herbal medicine into products providing added value to these medicinal plants. However, many people in the target locations are unskilled to process products with longer shelf life such as herbal jamu. Therefore, the solution is training and health education in processing herbal jamu. The processed products introduced were instant ginger and wedang uwuh. The method of activities is carried out online due to the ongoing PSBB. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on the target, namely increasing community skills for simple processing of herbal jamu that gives added value to local food and knowledge about Covid-19 and its prevention. After these activities were given, the conclusions indicated that there is an increase in people’s knowledge in processing herbal jamu products.
